Selection Process
Three steps are included in the hiring process:
85 points for the computer-based test (CBT)
- Bengali, English, mathematics, current events and general knowledge, and clerical aptitude are the subjects covered.
- Not at all Marking: 1 mark is subtracted for each incorrect response.
- Time frame: two hours
50 marks for the Descriptive Written Test (DWT) (Qualifying Only)
- Based on their CBT scores, candidates will be called for this test in a 1:10 ratio.
- To qualify, a minimum score of 30% (15 out of 50) is needed.
15 marks for the interview
- Based on DWT performance, candidates will be called in a 1:6 ratio.
The results of the CBT and the interview will be used to create the final merit list.

WEBCSC Recruitment 2025 Notification Instructions for Examinees:
The security guard has made it very clear that no applicant may take a cell phone, electronic device, or any other item that is forbidden outside of the admission point, as stated below.
I) Candidates who possess any of the following goods will have their candidature deemed unfair, the current exam will be canceled, they will be disqualified from any further examinations, and the materials will be confiscated. Any textual content, calculators, Docu pen, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with calculator capabilities, printed or written materials, pieces of paper, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, pens with camera functionality, or any other electronic device, etc.
II) Candidates must remain completely silent and focus solely on their question paper.
Any gesture, conversation, or disruption in the exam room or hall will be considered misconduct.
III) During the test, candidates are prohibited from obtaining, providing, or attempting to provide any form of irregular help. This will result in the candidate’s expulsion and cancellation from the test.
IV) Depending on the nature of the infraction, a candidate may be permanently prevented from taking the exam or banned for a predetermined amount of time if it is discovered that they used unfair methods or impersonated themselves.
V) During exam hours, it is prohibited to bring tea, coffee, cold beverages, snacks, or food items inside the examination room or hall.
VI) It is definitely forbidden to smoke, chew gutka, spit, or do anything else in the examination room or hall.
